WHO WE ARE
Families Fighting Blindness is a non-profit organization dedicated to driving research to stop vision loss among children affected by BBS.
BBS (Bardet-Biedl Syndrome) is a rare genetic disorder with symptoms that include retinal degeneration, obesity, polydactyly (extra digits of the hands and/or feet) and can lead to renal degeneration in some cases. It affects approximately 2,500 people in the United States.
OUR MISSION
Our goal is to raise funds to encourage research and aid in maintaining the BBS clinical registry that is essential to finding a cure. Families Fighting Blindness works in conjunction with a team of doctors and researchers at Marshfield Clinic and Duke University.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
100% of the donations made to Families Fighting Blindness are used to further research and studies for BBS. We are looking for supporters to help the cause. You can help in two ways: Donate through the website or join us in Arizona for the annual Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot where proceeds benefit Families Fighting Blindness.
